This last image is of a mural in Yazd that I thought cleverly incorporated motifs from the minuments and mosques in the area ( shame about the traffic lights) The inscription in Arabic, Farsi and English reads: ' Has the time not yet come for those who believe that their hearts should be humble for the remembrance of Allah and what he decided'.

Was it palling because of sensory overload? The brain finally shutting down because it just can't process any more? Or was it that you just got used to it?
A mixture of both - not helped that in Esfahan we saw 3 in one day ( as well as 2 Palaces which I'll blog about later)The folowing day we visited a Mosque where the emphasis was the brickwork - it felt so restrained after all those tiles
Yes I know what you mean about sensory overload. They are very very beautiful but not sure they wouldn't drive me nuts if I had to live with them.
