Doors or Vistas?

So which combination of this years Journal quilts do you prefer as a 'foursome' for display next year? Vistas or Doors?
I'm torn - the 'doors' are more interesting individually but there's some intriguing
dynamics going on in the combination of sea, water and landscapes and it works better as one piece.

Voting doors - just a gut reaction.

totally agree Mags. The doors individual pieces are much my favourite but as a whole the landscape works better.

There is something more mysterious, and many
layers of understanding, drawing the attention around the composition of Vistas. Nothing is really obvious, a very interesting set together. The doors are too obvoius for my taste.

Vistas is a superb and interesting composition. Takes your eyes around, puting questionmarks making your brain work more focused. A beauty.

While doors are good, the landscapes look much better as a cohesive group.

Doors, I'm a sucker for doors.

I've looked long and hard at both arrangements and I do prefer the doors although I agree that there are connections to be made between the Vistas pieces. I would love to see them all irl to appreciate the colours and tones (not that there's anything wrong with your photos just that you can't beat the real thing).

i vote for doors.i find it more visually appealing, all those details in the 3rd piece . perhaps the composition is more evident here, but i find it powerful, the dominant center and the detailed sides.

definitely doors. I am a door person. So much intrigue with doors.

I am not drawn to landscapes so much, and in this collection, the bottom centre overpowers the other 3.
