Ian and I came back from Festival of Quilts on Sunday and after a big food shop on Monday we headed to 'The Yard' in Faversham for lunch to celebrate our 13th wedding anniversary. We're wearing our new wedding rings (inscribed on the insides) - after both losing weight over the last few months, our existing ones kept falling off ( I'm now wearing them on my right hand) Having lost rings once already , I didn't want to lose the second set!
Our friends Jan and Bob came to Faversham to spend a few days. We visited Brogdale on Tuesday ( we've only made it as far as the shop so far on one of our walks to Painters Forstal) and had a very informative guided walk through the orchards ( with tastings along the way)
It was great to see the weather station where the highest ever temperature in the UK was recorded.
The fruit on the trees and fallen beneath were so colourful, it made you realise how quickly they fade once picked and in the shops
The following morning we visited the Abbey Physic Community Garden, one of my favourite places in Faversham then showed them so of the historic buildings.
In the afternoon while Bob and Ian went on a tour of the brewery , Jan and I sat at home stitching and catching up . A lovely few days.
